Welcome to the Arcade Creek Recreation and Park District! We are located in northeastern Sacramento County, California. The district encompasses six square miles serving Sacramento, Foothill Farms, Carmichael, and North Highlands. The district’s population is approximately 23,000.

The district has two community parks (Hamilton Street Park and Oakdale Park), one neighborhood park (Arcade Creek Park) and two natural creek trail areas.

The district offers recreational programs at the Hamilton Park and Oakdale Park Community Centers.  The Oakdale Park site houses a new gymnasium with a stage and commercial kitchen and a Community room. We operate an ASES after school program for Oakdale Elementary School children in coordination with the Twin Rivers Unified School District. This cooperative relationship is highly successful in programming, special events and facility development. The district also cosponsors programs with neighboring recreation agencies.

The district holds interpretive programs at the Arcade Creek Nature Area. There are two public and numerous private elementary schools located in the district. American River College is located in the district.
